can i charge a car battery with a 12-14v craftsman battery charger?
i have taken apart a 12-14 v craftsman battery charger. there is a red, black, and hite wire. red being positive, black being negitive, but what is the white wire for? do i need it to charge or is it for full battery? can i use it to charge and to tell when the batteries are full with a car battery?
There should be two sets of wires.
1. Input from the mains. The should have 3 wires – €Live, Neutral and Earth. Some chargers may not have the earth wire.
2. The output leads. Thie would be positive and negative.
The output leads (the conductors – not the insulation) should be fatter than the input leads.
