What is the pieces of metal that a AAA battery fits into called?
I know this isn’t automotive but I think people in this area may have a better “know-how” than those in the electronics department.
I am looking for the part negative end fits into. Any suggestions on where to find this part? I have checked at radioshack.com, homedepot.com, lowes.com. I’m trying to fix a $130.00 Digital Voice Recorder.
I usually call them contacts.
With most stuff in the past that I’ve had where the contacts corroded, or broke, I just took a little piece of metal and soldered it in place to touch the battery. You can hunt around for a cheap piece of electronics (maybe a small flashlight or something that uses the same size battery) that you can use for parts.
