How do I make my hardwood bench top waterproof?
How can I make my bench top waterproof? I have polished the bare timber with beeswax- rubbed it into the timber with steel wool. However if a drop of moisture is left on the timber, i end up with a water stain. I have been sanding the stains with sandpaper and then reapply beeswax to that area. How i can stop the water marks from occurring?do i have to sand back the entire bench and seal it with another product before using the beeswax. I have used Disney pure beeswax polish.
Teak Oil or Yacht Varnish if thats the way you want to go.
