How do I connect to my Active domain (Home.local) with my windows xp pro computer? I set a new account in the domain it is a member of Home.local/Users. Going on to the xp pc and into the system menu under computer name tab, change it from the workgroup (WORKGROUP) to domain (HOME) a box comes up asking for the user account. I put in the username and password. nothing happens for a bit then a box comes up with: The following error occoured attempting to join the domain “HOME”: Access is denied.
I have try loads PLEASE help me!

Go to the properties of My Computer and select the Computer Name tab. From here there are two methods of joining. You can use the Network ID wizard or do it the manual way. I recommend the manual way as it is more secure. The network ID wizard explains itself.
===MANUAL WAY===
In the computer name tab, click the Change button. Change the radio button to the domain option and type the domain in the box.
Then click the More button and type the domain again in the box.
Click Ok in both windows and when prompted for a user and password, type the user and password which is installed on the domain, not on your pc.
Restart your computer and your done!
