Would it be cheaper to reroof my house with a contractor if I bought my own materials?
My house needs a new roof. Which would be cheaper:
A)Have the contractor do ALL the work.
B)Order, pickup, and deliver the materials myself. Contractor do the rest.
C)Order/pickup/deliver the materials myself. Remove/haul off old roof. Contractor do the rest.
Basically, I have a budget and the quotes im getting are all over budget. So do contractors charge “at cost” for materials or does markup occur?
I bought my materials and had a contractor do the rest and I got out for $2400.00. and I have been well pleased with it.
