The tile is 2.5 times thicker than the usual tiles and its hardness is 9 Mohs.

a masonary drill should be alright for this job try a smaller size to pilot the hole required then use the correct size drill for the hole, and tape the mark where you want to drill so the drill does not slip on the tile,you will have to drill carefully and dont press the drill to hard or it will burn out.
