How do I remove exploded AA batteries stuck inside a flashlight tube – option tap a screw and pull?
Is it safe to drill a screw in the negative end of the battery and pull, to avoid damaging the inside lining or bottom flange of the aluminum cylinder?
You’d probably be better off just taking the whole flashlight to a toxic waste disposal facility (NOT in the trash!) because alkaline batteries may contain mercury and/or corrosive chemicals. Chances are if the batteries exploded, the inside works of the flashlight are ruined anyway.
