I want to know how to set up an old drill press that takes an electric drill?
We have it mounted securely, but can’t seem to get the drill to set firmly in it. There is one bracket (I guess you would call it) that seems to go on top of drill and then you tighten it up and another brace type thing that I think should hold drill straight but we can’t get it secure.
Dad had one & have not seen them for a long time.
Designed to hold an “old style” drill w/ metal case.
There was a bracket that fit between the chuck & drill body .
Had a band clamp around the body & a screw clamp that held the drill “down” when clamped vertically.
Using a “modern” plastic cased drill might be the problem because of smaller size. or there may be no space to get the bracket between chuck & body ?
