Will the Grabit srcew remover work with a battery powered screw driver?
I saw the Grabit and most people say it works. However, I don’t own a drill I own a battery powered screw driver. Does anyone know, from expierence, if it would work with a battery powered screw driver?
I am really only interested in answers from expierence and not opinions, judgements, or guesses.
The grabit needs a good amount of weight behind it – and power. I’ve used it with a 14v battery drill, so I know that’s adequate. But a battery screw driver… can you press down on it very hard? Can you get your shoulder behind it and really push? A screw has a strong grip on whatever it’s screwed into.
If you can try anmother method, do. Have you considered cutting a slot in the head of the screw with a chisel and hammer, or gripping the screw tight with needlenose pliers and turning? If either of those is possible, go for it.
You can also rent a 14 0r 18v battery drill.
