Dell Driver Reset Tool problem?
I got a Dell computer and when I open Dell Driver Reset Tool, it just opens up this popup box:

P.S. I even un-installed it and re-installed it with the latest version and does not work.
I’m not exactly sure because I have never had to use the dell driver reset tool, but Hey, if you haven’t uninstalled or reinstalled windows using a disk, then you can probably reset your computer back to factory defaults. Just make sure to back up anything you want to keep because your computer will be set back to when you originally bought it. This will likely take care of any problem you are having. Of course you will have to reinstall all the other stuff, as well as redownload all updates for anything you had. If you want to take this route I will tell you how at the end of this post.
However before doing that, I’d call dell, and/or use their online support chat and tell them your problem because whatever is causing the issue may be real simple. I mean it may be as simple as adjusting some setting somewhere or deleting a file, or even downloading an update for an seemingly unrelated program.
Anyway here’s the end of the post:
You should be able to reset back to factory defaults by:
Reboot your computer, when the dell logo screen appears hold down the ctrl key and keep pressing the F11 key until the after you see the little sentence that appears at the top left of the screen. The little sentence should appear just after the dell logo screen dissapears. You may have to do this a few times because sometimes the timeing is off and it doesn’t start the restore process. When the restore proccess in activated, you will know because a screen will appear likely with Norton and will give you the option to restore your computer or reboot (reboot means cancel by the way) NOW REMEMBER… If you decide to restore, you will lose everything on your computer, and everything will be back to the way it was when it was shipped to you.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help, but reseting your computer back to factory defaults will take care of just about any problem you have as far as software is concerned.
