How do i make a 45 degree hole cut with a forstner bit?
Im trying to make a 1 1/2″ 45 degree hole cut with a forstner bit in a 3/4 inch thich piece of hard wood. The problem Im running into is that the bit either chews up the wood and/or pulls itself right off the piece im working on
ok cool thanks. But teh center drill bit of the forstner isnt long enough to hit the wood before the edge of its blade does at that angle
Use a drill press with a tilting table, clamp your project to the table, tilt the table to 45 degrees and take it slow.
