Which hammer drill should I buy?
I’m considering these two:

or

a Hitachi 8.3-amp 1/2″ hammer drill, model DV20VB2 for $77
They’re both 2-mode (same speed ranges) reconditioned drills w/ warranties. The Hitachi is lighter, has more power, and comes w/ a case, but is that worth $30 more?
Any thoughts, tips, hints, or recommendations on hammer drills are welcome.
Thanks for all the answers! I sprang for the Hitachi. The things I mentioned above, your comments, and the speed control dial were all selling points for me.
I have an old B&D drill that has served me well, but like Jim W. said, maybe they’re not what they used to be.
I can’t decide a best answer, so I’m putting it to a vote.
Of the two brands, Hitachi is much better.
I’ve had an old Hitachi hammer drill that I inherited from my late mentor that just won’t quit.
And it’s not for lack of trying, believe me..
