I have a Dewalt DW 938 recip saw. How do I replace the output shaft? ?
I have it apart but the gear assembly is pressed together, and I do not see an easy way to get at the output shaft.
There should be a small black plastic cover in the front end, just on the break of the gear case, which can be pryed out and inside there’s a nut, either 1/2″ or 9/16″, don’t remember which, that has to be undone to release the wobble arm from the shaft.
