“Power Tools”
Ladies, get ready to throw the honey-do list out the window. Power tools and do it yourself projects aren’t for the boys anymore – and with the right tools you can stop waiting months on end for your man to complete a simple project.
In order to do any job correctly, you will need to compile your very own tool box. There are only a few tools you really need to make home repairs simple and time efficient. Here’s the list:
• Level. A good level makes everything from hanging pictures to installing closet rods a cinch. If you want to take this a step further, opt for the newest laser levels that make it easy to line up multiple objects.
• Stud Finder. When hanging anything like a picture frame or a large mirror on a wall, be sure your nail or screw is secured directly into a stud. This will ensure stability and strength for your wall hanging and virtually eliminate those accidental holes in your drywall.
• Claw Hammer. Forget the stiletto and opt for a good hammer when you need to pound something. Choose a hammer with a comfortable handle – preferably made of fiberglass – and a claw design. The soft handle reduces strain on your hand and the claw design makes it easier to remove set nails
• Cordless Electric Drill. If you have ever tried hanging blinds, replacing door knobs or hanging shower rods, you know what a long process this can be with a manual screw driver.
