What speed motor would one need for this project?
I am trying to build a 2-pulley system with an AC electric motor. The pulley on the motor is 6 in, the 2nd pulley is 3 in. I need a final output of 3600 RPM. What size and speed motor would I need to achieve this?
Thanks. Load will not be a problem, I just couldn’t figure out what I needed for the max RPM to be 3600. Again, Thank you very much.
The pulleys will increase the speed by a factor of 2, so if you want 3600 RPM, you will need the motor turning at 1800 RPM.
Size of motor depends on the load, which you did not specify.
